As a “warming-up” project, this animatic is an abstract interpretation of a poem.

I chose this Peter Haehoe’s poem, mainly because of this line: “I thought...I thought we could do OK”. With a bit of editing in the sound, I also knew there was a song that could make it “breath”, take a break and It could add some intensity to the poem.

Related to the image, I wanted to keep an iconic style, which is why the characters are an eye and a mouth. However, It could feel a bit “boring” sometimes, as it’s a long poem. I finally decided to add more images, based on photographies and treating them in Illustrator and Photoshop.
